Senior Data Engineer – Platform / Warehouse / Python / Cloud

HTC Global Services is a company focused on building innovative solutions and advancing careers in technology. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build data platforms and warehouses, ensuring data quality and scalability while collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of data products and fluency with engineering best practices
• Design and build data platforms and data warehouses while partnering with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency with a variety of data engineering technology and a willingness and ability to learn new tools
• Dive into Python (or Ruby), postgreSQL, and docker and is willing to dabble with Bash
• Experience with Azure and (optionally) AWS Athena and compute jobs (batch jobs, Lambda functions, and Glue jobs)
• Design systems with an approach centered on data quality and scalability
• Address challenges and optimizations relevant to an early-stage start-up environment
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills – being empathetic, courteous, and collaborative
• Experience in the healthcare space or another highly-regulated industry
• Experiment with or adopt AI productivity tools and be intellectually curious about how AI is transforming data engineering

Requirements:

• 10+ years professional experience as a data engineer, including ownership of data products and fluency with engineering best practices
• Previously designed and built data platforms and data warehouses while partnering with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency with a variety of data engineering technology and a willingness and ability to learn new tools
• Ability to dive into Python (or Ruby), postgreSQL, and docker and is willing to dabble with Bash
• Experience with Azure and (optionally) AWS Athena and compute jobs (batch jobs, Lambda functions, and Glue jobs)
• A history of designing systems with an approach centered on data quality and scalability
• An appreciation for the challenges and optimizations relevant to an early-stage start-up environment
• Interpersonal skills – you don't have a hard time being empathetic, courteous, and collaborative
• Experience in the healthcare space or another highly-regulated industry
• Have experimented with or adopted AI productivity tools and are intellectually curious about how AI is transforming data engineering
