They are seeking a Senior Manager in Network Engineering to lead the evolution of network infrastructure that supports life-saving care, collaborating with various teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating tightly with developers, testers, program managers, and cross-functional IS, non-IS, and clinical partners to architect, optimize, and continuously improve large-scale, mission-critical services
- Navigating ambiguity to define network strategy, coaching and empowering a high-performing team, and instilling a modern, service-oriented mindset focused on automation, resilience, and excellence
- Delivering scalable, secure, data-driven solutions that prioritize performance, cost-efficiency, and an exceptional caregiver experience
- Solving complex technical challenges, driving operational rigor, fostering inclusive teams, leveraging metrics for smarter decisions, and translating engineering impact into better patient outcomes
- Leading and developing high-performing, fully remote engineering teams responsible for supporting complex multi-site data center networks spanning Cisco ACI, Arista EOS/EVPN-VXLAN/MLAG environments, Palo Alto platforms, and MPLS backbone infrastructures
- Overseeing large-scale distributed network operations and architectures, including on-premises data centers, MPLS backbones, carrier-hotel peering, high-availability designs (multi-homing, failover, redundancy), and Azure hub-and-spoke hybrid connectivity
- Driving data-informed team performance and operational excellence by guiding the use of telemetry and analytics from platforms such as ACI APIC, Arista CloudVision, and MPLS monitoring to prioritize initiatives, strengthen SLAs, reduce incidents, enhance cost efficiency, and achieve measurable improvements in uptime and network performance
- Leading the organization's network security strategy and risk management, directing the implementation of zero-trust architecture, micro-segmentation, MPLS VPN security, threat detection, HIPAA-aligned controls, and adoption of modern practices including SASE and continuous verification
- Championing team adoption and maturity in automation technologies (ACI APIs, Arista programmability, IaC/Ansible), AIOps for predictive and self-healing operations, and advanced observability practices, while guiding the strategic transition from legacy systems to next-generation intelligent network environments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and work experience
- 8 or more years of related experience
- 6 or more years of experience leading technical teams in a complex and fast paced environment
- Strong experience with leveraging the power of data and metrics to drive behavior, process and priority decisions across the team and IS
- Experience in a Healthcare environment
- 8 or more years of experience in Network Engineering
- Lead and develop high-performing, fully remote engineering teams responsible for supporting complex multi-site data center networks spanning Cisco ACI, Arista EOS/EVPN-VXLAN/MLAG environments, Palo Alto platforms, and MPLS backbone infrastructures, while fostering async-first communication, building trust, setting clear outcome-based expectations, and sustaining team cohesion, morale, and professional growth across global time zones and international counterparts
