Toast is a company focused on building a restaurant platform that helps restaurants thrive. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Networking Platform to drive strategy and execution across their managed networking stack and collaborate with various teams to enhance restaurant connectivity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Product strategy & roadmap for Toast-managed networking across hardware, firmware, dashboards, observability, and support tooling
- Owning the end-to-end connectivity experiences and building the next generation management tools for Toast networking devices
- Discover customer pain points and unmet needs and drive for high quality feature requests
- Develop Product Requirements Documents to drive hardware development, as well as communicate feature requests to the engineering team in a fast-paced environment
- Deeply understand the competitive landscape and strategize and prioritize resources so we build the best products to win
- Lead by influence. Work closely with the Toast product, UX, engineering and operations teams to support business needs, develop business case, justify the ROI, and owning the product roadmap
- Work closely with the Marketing, Finance, Operations and Customer Success teams to execute flawless launches
- Source new networking products and drive the qualification of the product internally and externally
- Analyze and track product KPIs to understand how hardware products are performing in the field post launch
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience (or equivalent)
- Proven ability to lead products that sit at the intersection of software + hardware + operations, with many internal stakeholders
- Strong technical fluency in networking fundamentals such as VLANs, SSIDs, firewalls, captive portals, observability and telemetry
- Track record of shipping products that measurably improve reliability, operational efficiency, or support outcomes
- Excellent cross-functional leadership: you can align teams without direct authority and drive execution in ambiguity
- Experience with managed networking ecosystems (e.g., Meraki/UniFi), ISP/carrier concepts, IoT devices or cellular failover solutions
- Experience building support tooling: automation for operations teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted support systems (retrieval + telemetry lookup, action execution with guardrails)
- Experience in user experience design and research is a plus
- Experience in data mining and/or querying skills is a plus
