Ellucian powers innovation for higher education, partnering with approximately 3,000 customers across 50 countries. They are seeking a Principal, Product Advocacy & Market Engagement to operationalize and amplify product messaging through executive storytelling and customer advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Activate Solutions Marketing narratives in the field Translate approved messaging into compelling executive stories, demos, talk tracks, event programming, and reusable storytelling kits for the US market
- Lead executive-level evangelism moments Represent Ellucian in customer executive briefings, conferences, webinars, user groups, and partner events, with keynote-ready delivery and audience-specific framing
- Build and scale customer advocacy Develop and mobilize customer champions, reference stories, practitioner communities, and outcome proof points that increase credibility and accelerate adoption
- Partner with Sales on strategic opportunities Support high-impact pursuits through executive presentations, storytelling for key decision-makers, and confidence-building customer narratives, especially for strategic accounts
- Create a closed-loop feedback system Capture field intelligence including objections, competitive signals, win and loss themes, and adoption friction, and feed structured insights back to the VP, Product Evangelism, Solutions Marketing, and Product to improve readiness and message deployment
- Raise Ellucian’s thought leadership footprint Drive a consistent drumbeat of high-quality content and speaking engagements that increase market understanding and reinforce Ellucian’s leadership in responsible, AI-powered transformation
- Establish measurable evangelism programs Define success metrics for reach and engagement, advocacy pipeline, field enablement utilization, and influence on strategic opportunities, and use data to continuously improve programming
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in product evangelism, product marketing enablement, go-to-market leadership, communications, or related market-facing roles in enterprise software or SaaS, with a demonstrated record of external speaking and executive facilitation
- Proven success delivering high-stakes presentations, keynotes, and executive briefings. Ability to engage confidently with senior institutional stakeholders such as presidents, provosts, CIOs, and student success leaders
- Strong ability to operationalize Solutions Marketing messaging into stories, presentations, and assets that land with distinct audiences. High standards for message discipline, clarity, and authenticity
- Experience creating and scaling customer champion motions, reference storytelling, and outcomes-based proof that can be used across events, sales pursuits, and market education
- Demonstrated ability to align and deliver through a matrix spanning Product, Engineering, Solutions Marketing, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, and regional GTM teams
- Ability to understand product strategy and roadmap intent, translate it into institution-relevant value, and communicate trade-offs and outcomes credibly without over-promising
- Comfort defining operating cadences, building repeatable programs, and measuring results with clear inputs and outputs such as content performance, engagement, advocacy growth, and field impact
- Willingness to travel for major events and customer engagements across the USA
