About this role
Pride Global is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on SRE incident management solutions. The role involves developing and maintaining applications using Java and .NET, building APIs and microservices, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and/or .NET
- Build and troubleshoot APIs and microservices
- Work within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Support full stack development initiatives (frontend + backend)
- Collaborate with SREs and cross-functional engineering teams
- Contribute to incident management and reliability solutions
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approx. every 5 weeks – paid OT)
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of experience in software development
- Strong experience with Java development
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Solid background in APIs and microservices
- Full stack experience is a strong plus (backend-focused candidates also considered)
- AWS certification
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor)
- Previous experience in similar environments/projects
