The Staff Product Manager for Community will lead high-impact projects to build social and interactive experiences, defining customer experiences and managing cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
Responsibilities:
- Lead 0-1 Initiatives: Drive the strategy and execution of greenfield projects, taking community-focused concepts from ideation to full-scale launch
- Define Customer Experience: Define a world-class customer experience that prioritizes user engagement and connection
- Balance Marketplace Needs: Collaborate with ad monetization and B2B teams to balance revenue goals with a high-quality consumer experience
- Data-Driven Roadmap: Translate customer data and market trends into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a strong communicator, managing diverse feedback from across the organization and building consensus for the product vision
- Roadmap Prioritization: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring all new community features are validated and clearly specified
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Marketing) through influence to implement the vision efficiently
- Performance Tracking: Monitor adoption, usage, and revenue impact of community features, reporting on release impact to executive leadership
- Voice of the Customer: Engage with the community through various channels to serve as the internal advocate for user needs
- Agile Delivery: Strive to deliver high-quality technology products in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidly
Requirements:
- 7+ years product management experience in a technological industry
- 5+ years experience in consumer-facing online commerce, social, or marketplace
- Proven track record of delivering successful, large-scale consumer-facing experiences
- Demonstrated experience leading '0-1' or greenfield product development from concept to market
- Experience navigating B2B2C dynamics, specifically working alongside monetization or ad-tech teams
- Experience designing growth loops and driving feature virality within a social or community context
- Proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap
- Superior persuasion skills and the ability to build buy-in for bold, innovative visions
- Comfort discussing architectural concepts and trade-offs with engineering partners
- Strong bias toward data-based decision-making and comfort with operational analysis
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to respond quickly to evolving market threats
- MBA preferred
