Product Engineer

NEWITY is America’s source for small business capital, dedicated to providing access to SBA loan solutions. They are seeking a Product Engineer responsible for the complete lifecycle of product features, from requirement gathering to deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance their digital lending platform.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of product features from initial requirement to production deployment
• Analyze and detail technical specifications based on business requirements and user needs
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across web and API platforms
• Create and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including manual and automated approaches
• Leverage AI tools and methodologies to enhance development and testing processes
• Implement data collection, analysis, and reporting features to support business intelligence
• Collaborate with design, sales, operations, and compliance teams to ensure feature success
• Provide regular progress reports and technical documentation to stakeholders
• Monitor and maintain existing features, identifying and resolving issues proactively
• Stay current with industry best practices in software development, testing, and fintech technologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
• 3-5 years of software development experience with full-stack capabilities
• Experience with modern web frameworks, APIs, and database technologies
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and manual QA processes
• Basic understanding of product management principles and user experience
• Experience with data analysis and basic AI/ML concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder updates
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Interest in fintech and understanding of compliance requirements
