Sr. Network Engineer (100% Remote) US CITIZENS ONLY

Sputnik Solutions Inc is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to configure, operate, and troubleshoot IP networks in multi-vendor environments. The role involves designing and maintaining MPLS/IP services, managing network security controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot IP networks in multi-vendor environments
• Support routing/switching, network optimization, and performance improvements
• Design and maintain MPLS/IP services (LDP, RSVP, RSVP-TE, MP-BGP, VPLS, L2VPN, IPVPN)
• Work with LAN technologies (STP, RSTP, 802.1x, ISL, HSRP, VRRP, MC-LAG)
• Implement QoS, traffic engineering, and IP service delivery
• Manage IPSec VPNs, firewalls, and security controls
• Handle network migrations, upgrades, and integrations with minimal downtime
• Perform audits, documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of IP, TCP, UDP, QoS
• Expertise in OSPF and BGP
• Deep MPLS/IP experience (LDP, RSVP, MP-BGP, VPLS, L2VPN, IPVPN)
• Strong LAN and network security experience
• Proven experience in large-scale network migrations
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, along with exposure to ADVA, Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia), and Juniper
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 9+ years of experience in IP networking, MPLS, and security
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Cisco (C7609, C4900, C3600, ASR9K)
• Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent (7700 Series)
• ADVA (FSP series)
• Juniper (EX, M, MX series)
• Ciena platforms
• Experience in service provider or large enterprise environments
