The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for the iOS mobile application plays a critical role in shaping and delivering new app features and enhancements, partnering with various teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements for high-quality mobile experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver new iOS app features and enhancements
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and user requirements using clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Translate complex business needs into mobile‑friendly solutions, accounting for iOS platform capabilities and constraints
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure requirements support intuitive, user-centered experiences
- Work closely with iOS engineers to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support solution design decisions
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and feature prioritization activities
- Evaluate existing app functionality and recommend improvements to usability, workflows, and performance
- Assist with testing and validation by reviewing test cases, supporting QA and UAT, and ensuring delivered features meet business expectations
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear status updates, trade‑off discussions, and solution recommendations
- Maintain thorough, organized documentation throughout the feature lifecycle
Requirements:
- Strong ability to translate business needs into functional mobile app requirements
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Solid understanding of mobile app development concepts, particularly iOS (e.g., app lifecycle, integrations, APIs, platform limitations)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple features or initiatives simultaneously and work independently
- Comfortable operating in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Experience supporting consumer‑facing or internal mobile applications
- Familiarity with UX principles and mobile design patterns
- Experience working directly with iOS development teams
- Exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps, Figma, or similar product and documentation tools
