About this role
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire role. This position will focus on migrating and standardizing product data across PLM, DAM, and enterprise systems to help build a modern, scalable data ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data migration efforts from legacy systems into modern platforms
- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to move and transform product data
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams on data models and standards
- Support integration across PLM, DAM, ERP, and eCommerce systems
- Monitor and resolve data quality and migration issues
- Help define and enforce data governance and best practices
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years in data engineering or data migration
- Experience with large-scale data migrations or system transformations
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and ETL pipelines
- Experience working with PLM, PXM, MDM, or product data systems
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based data platforms
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance
