AWS Cloud Systems Engineer

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) is a mission-driven company focused on impactful projects and collaboration. They are seeking an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to support federal customers with architecture and infrastructure, ensuring the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
• Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
• Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise AWS cloud and/or infrastructure environments
• Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire
• Active Secret clearance
• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
