Oxbo France is a company specializing in agricultural machinery, and they are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and integrate intelligent control solutions. The role involves developing real-time control algorithms and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and tune real‑time control algorithms for drive systems, electro‑hydraulics, safety logic, and advanced features such as path planning, collision avoidance, and autonomous harvesting
- Design and integrate controls with embedded ECUs, sensors, actuators, and machine hardware; implement redundancy and safety mechanisms
- Build and maintain plant models; perform MIL/SIL (and bench/field) testing; analyze results and iterate to meet performance and safety targets
- Configure and validate CAN bus communication (J1939; ISOBUS/ISO11783 preferred); support telemetry/connectivity integrations
- Capture and manage requirements (e.g., Codebeamer/Polarion), support DFMEA and compliance with global standards and architectural guidelines
- Apply modular design; create reusable software blocks and contribute to shared libraries; identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in model‑based workflows
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, automation, and software teams, as well as global suppliers/partners; communicate progress, risks, and decisions with stakeholders
- Maintain technical documentation, contribute to knowledge sharing, and (as applicable) support training for engineers, service teams, and other stakeholders
- Follow safety policies and best practices during development, testing, and machine commissioning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control/Automation, Software/Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related fields; Master's is a plus
- Real‑time embedded development and/or industrial/off‑highway automation; model‑based design (MATLAB/Simulink) and Embedded C/C++; Git or similar VCS
- CAN bus, J1939 (ISOBUS/ISO11783 preferred); Vector CANoe/CANalyzer or equivalent; requirements/toolchain familiarity (Codebeamer/Polarion; Office tools)
- English fluency
- Agricultural machinery, off‑highway, automotive, or mechatronic systems (desejável)
- ROS or similar middleware; ladder logic for specific PLC/controls contexts
- Telemetry/telematics and connectivity systems
- Experience with global, standardized toolchains and shared architectures
