They are seeking a motivated Senior Business Analyst to leverage data analysis and modeling techniques to generate strategic insights for their Pro Capacity & Marketplace teams, focusing on optimizing the connection between pros and homeowners.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a vital bridge between raw data and executive strategy, leveraging advanced data analysis, modeling, and visualization techniques to generate strategic insights for our Pro Capacity & Marketplace teams
- Focus on understanding two-sided marketplace dynamics, with projects aimed at providing data-driven recommendations to ensure we are matching the best pros to the right homeowners, optimizing for revenue and customer experience
- Work closely with product, strategy, and operations teams to analyze service pro behavior and network performance
- Provide data-backed recommendations that answer not just 'what happened?', but 'what will happen?' and 'what should we do?' to enhance the customer experience and grow the bottom line
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Strategy, and Operations
- Build lasting relationships to understand their analytical needs, align on project timing, and ensure data-driven decisions are at the heart of every initiative
- Analyze shifts in network trends to identify growth opportunities
- Leverage advanced modeling (Python/R) to generate predictive and prescriptive insights that optimize revenue and marketplace health, supporting self-serve solutions to empower the broader organization
- Translate complex findings into clear, compelling stories to non-technical stakeholders through clear, compelling narratives and visualizations
- Build and maintain high-impact dashboards (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) that monitor key metrics in near real-time, allowing the team to remain agile in response to changing market conditions
- Work alongside Data and Product teams to maintain accurate, scalable data solutions and enhance shared data resources
- Follow best practices for data validation and quality assurance
- Proactively seek out ways to leverage AI to streamline analytical workstreams and spark creativity
- Document your findings to build the team’s collective knowledge base and embrace opportunities to share insights with peers and mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of analytical experience in an e-commerce, marketplace, or related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools such as Python or R
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to apply predictive modeling techniques to solve business problems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to leverage AI to streamline analytical workstreams
