Crossover is seeking a Director of Educational Strategy for 2 Hour Learning, a company focused on transforming education through AI-driven personalized learning. The role involves designing academic frameworks, conducting execution reviews, and serving as a public advocate for innovative educational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, student motivation structures, and application interfaces
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, responsible, and results-driven
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student achievement objectives
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from major conference platforms to engagements with national Ministries of Education—advancing transformational thinking about schooling worldwide
- Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by harmonizing execution across school sites, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement anchored in evidence-based science and demonstrated outcomes
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
