Cloud Network Engineer

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) is a mission-driven team passionate about making a difference. They are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to support the operation of cloud backbone for network communications systems, design and implement cloud network architectures, and maintain technical expertise in network hardware and software.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the operation of the cloud backbone for network communications systems
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for cloud network architectures
• Administer, monitor, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of systems
• Conducts testing of network design
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software, virtual appliances, interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
• 4+ years of experience supporting cloud and/or enterprise network infrastructure in a production environment
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., VPC/VNet design, routing, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid connectivity)
• Active Secret clearance or higher is required
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent)
• One or more active cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), with experience operating in regulated or federal environments
• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
