Körber Supply Chain is a company focused on innovative technologies and automation solutions for the warehouse and distribution industry. They are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design responsibilities, including the integration of automation technology and ensuring compliance with electrical design codes.
Responsibilities:
- You will determine electrical integration requirements for technologies included in overall system designs
- You will define system power requirements, design circuit protection, and permit drawing packages
- You will develop electrical device layouts, motor control panel designs, electrical panel and field device schematics, and electrical equipment bill of material lists to support control and system functionality
- You will design control network architecture layouts
- Understand electrical design code regulations (NEC, NFPA, UL, OSHA, etc.) and ensure system design compliance
- You will create an electrical installation request for quote packages detailing the electrical installation scope of work, system equipment quantities, and supply
- You will create electrical equipment purchase requisitions
- You will support system design review meetings, leading discussions specific to electrical design and equipment
- You will provide electrical design status updates for internal and external project stakeholders
- You will travel 10-15% to sites and perform site condition and progress evaluations
Requirements:
- You have obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- You have gained five years of warehouse & distribution industry-related experience required
- You have experience designing electrical system layouts and motor control panels in the warehouse and distribution industry, with specialized expertise in conveyor systems
- You have experience with PLC and network protocols; Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus, etc
- You can develop electrical layouts and schematics in AutoCAD or a similar environment
- You can design electrical layouts using mechanical system design data (equipment layout, motor horsepower, system throughout, etc.)
- You can collaborate with control engineering, project management, multiple engineering disciplines, and site installation teams to understand system control requirements and support overall functionality
- You have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer interface skills, with experience leading project design review meetings, conveying technical confidence to end users, and performing effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
