Mutual of Omaha is a leading insurance and financial services company, and they are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and technical teams. In this role, you will clarify requirements, translate them into user stories, and support Agile teams in delivering reliable system improvements that enhance efficiency and customer support.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements, facilitating discovery sessions and translating needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria within Jira
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and functional specifications, ensuring development teams clearly understand scope, business intent, and system impacts
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, supporting system, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business and technical requirements
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, driving clarity, documenting workflows and process improvements, and ensuring delivered solutions align with stakeholder expectations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Project Management roles gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders, translating needs into clear documentation such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Experience converting business requirements into technical requirements to support development teams and ensure solutions align with business objectives
- Familiarity working in Agile or project-based environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting backlog management, documentation, and delivery of system enhancements
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico
