SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company that focuses on innovative lifestyle solutions. They are seeking a Principal Electrical Systems Engineer to work on multidisciplinary product development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and prototype future product platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to system architecture and early-stage development across electrical, embedded, and software domains
- Lead design and validation of reusable electrical and embedded modules
- Support the creation and refinement of system-level requirements and functional architectures
- Design, build, and test early prototypes to validate feasibility and inform product direction
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess applicability for next-generation platforms
- Collaborate with global engineering, ID/UX, product, and manufacturing teams
- Participate in system integration and risk analysis activities across multi-disciplinary subsystems
- Assist in design reviews and ensure alignment with EMC, safety, and design validation (DVT) requirements
Requirements:
- BSc or MS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- 12–20 years of experience in product development or advanced R&D
- Experience in early-stage prototyping, feasibility evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about how systems interact
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments focused on innovation
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership of assigned projects and deliverables
- Passion for working with emerging technologies and learning new tools and methods
- Systems integration across electrical, embedded, and mechanical components
- Analog/digital circuit design, including A/D, D/A, filters, and signal integrity
- Power electronics (AC/DC, flyback, buck/boost, basic regulatory considerations)
- Embedded systems: microcontrollers (ARM, 8/16-bit), memory, and interfaces
- Sensor technologies: IMUs, ToF, IR, cameras, magnetometers, etc
- Wireless communication: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (basic integration)
- Hands-on prototyping: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or equivalent
- Exposure to edge AI / ML integration is a plus
