About this role
Anchor Loans is a financial services company owned by Pretium Partners, focused on expanding its lending footprint. They are seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to cloud-based software development and optimize technology solutions to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and vet system designs to solve ambiguous problems
- Communicate design and implementation decisions effectively through design documents, diagrams, and code
- Conduct thorough and timely code reviews
- Drive cross-functional efforts that involve teams across Anchor Loans to solve hard problems that span technical, organizational, and societal dimensions
- Mentor and train team members on design techniques, coding standards, debugging complex systems, and engineering best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of software development experience, with focus on Python, Python Frameworks (Django, Flask, Fast API), Javascript, and VueJS
- Proficiency in designing, architecting, testing, maintaining, and launching cloud (web/mobile) software products
- Expertise in AWS
- Familiarity with source code repositories like Git or Bitbucket
- Experience with CI/CD and automation
- Experience working in a fast-paced agile/scrum environment
- Experience with other software languages is a plus
- Familiarity with other cloud service providers (Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Experience with no-SQL databases, and large-scale distributed systems
- Working proficiency in verbal and written English
