Pharmaron is a global CRO helping pharma and biotech companies bring new therapies to life. As a Scientific Marketing Manager, you will combine deep scientific understanding with strategic marketing to showcase CMC capabilities and expertise to biotech and pharma audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Translate complex small molecule CMC and process chemistry topics into clear, credible, audience-focused marketing content for biotech and pharma customers
- Develop and refine scientific materials such as website content, white papers, info sheets, articles, and other collateral aligned to CMC priorities
- Support marketing activity for priority areas including late-stage manufacturing and integrated drug substance and drug product service offerings
- Work closely with scientific stakeholders to gather technical input, interpret specialist content accurately, and turn it into externally facing messaging
- Partner with internal teams across regions, including colleagues in the UK and China, to coordinate content development and ensure consistency
- Contribute to strengthening Pharmaron's digital presence by helping build effective web content and understanding how page structure supports visibility in search and AI-driven discovery
- Support the CMC team with related marketing activities, including webinars and review or feedback on scientific posters
- Deliver against an existing marketing strategy for the CMC area, with support and guidance from leadership as you grow in the role
Requirements:
- A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or a related scientific field is essential
- Scientific background in small molecule CMC, with particular relevance to process chemistry and early-stage CMC
- Minimum 8 years of combined experience in small molecule CMC
- Experience working in a scientific role first, with the potential or desire to move further into marketing, would be welcomed
- Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively beyond purely technical audiences
- Confidence working with subject matter experts and asking the right questions to shape accurate, useful external messaging
- Interest in scientific storytelling, content development, and supporting business growth through well-positioned marketing activity
- Ability to convert technical scientific information into polished, accurate, and engaging written content without losing scientific integrity
- Understanding of how scientific webpages are built and how content can support discoverability through search engines and emerging AI-driven platforms
- Stakeholder-management skills that support effective partnership with scientific leaders, marketers, and other internal contributors
- Comfort working independently in a remote role while staying closely aligned with team objectives and timelines
