Westinghouse Electric Company is searching for a Commissioning Project Manager of Renewable Energy to oversee a portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role involves managing commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project contractual documents, and providing subject matter expertise for safety and quality improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring commissioning activities for assigned projects are performed with high quality and adhering to all safety policies
- Responsible for coordination and management of, EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site, as it relates to site commissioning and startup
- Responsible for project reliability at operational turnover with plants exhibiting as little lost time as necessary in initial operation
- Responsible for compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility
- Responsible for oversight of commissioning personnel for multiple sites to ensure contractual obligations are met for all assigned projects
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise and input into business unit strategic planning for safety, manpower, and quality and efficiency improvement
- Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting
- E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting
- Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
- Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting
- Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting
- Drawing review quality control inspection
- Progress reporting
- Computer skills Outlook, PDF edit Word, Excel, document control systems and PowerPoint
- Management of third parties and suppliers
- Management of direct report team members
- Schedule and planning understanding
- Self-starter with a high drive for quality, execution, and safety
- 5 years' experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
- 3 years' experience minimum working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
- Proven track record and ability to interact with engineering personnel on highly technical issues, and then also interact with construction personnel on constructability, schedule, and cost issues as well
- Proven track record and ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once
