Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Network Consulting Engineer to support a large campus network environment for Cisco in Newtown Square, PA. This role blends Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) design/deployment with Day 2 operations support. The ideal candidate will have direct production experience deploying Cisco SDA and be comfortable working onsite for lab builds, troubleshooting, and an upcoming campus migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) solutions in a production environment.
- Manage operations via Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center (provisioning, assurance, operations).
- Configure and support Catalyst 9000 series switches (9200 CX, 9300, 9500, 9600).
- Handle routing protocols including IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
- Support change management, maintenance windows, and Sev 1/Sev 2 incident troubleshooting.
- Collaborate directly with Cisco TAC and internal teams.
- Provide consultative guidance to customer operations teams, explaining trade-offs and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Technical: Direct production experience deploying Cisco SDA (Design, Implementation, Troubleshooting). Exposure only is not sufficient.
- Hardware: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches.
- Routing: Proficient with IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
Nice to Have:
Experience with IPv4/IPv6 Multicast.
Automation/Scripting skills (Python, Ansible, Robot Framework).
