Location & Work Arrangement
- City, State: Columbia, SC
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Requiring 2 days onsite per week)
- Residency Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina or North Carolina. (NC residents must be willing to relocate to SC prior to the start date at their own expense).
Primary Responsibilities
- Leadership & Delivery: Oversee the successful execution of single or multiple IT projects from inception to closure.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive work plans, including schedules, milestones, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
- Mentorship: Act as a coach and advisor to junior project managers, executives, and student workers regarding PM best practices.
- Risk & Communication: Implement robust communication plans and conduct thorough risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage expectations and provide regular updates to sponsors, enterprise architects, and business units.
- Governance: Maintain project records in the PMO repository and establish standards for reporting and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Project Management.
- IT Focus: At least 4 years specifically managing IT or technology-related projects.
- Certification: An active PMP certification is mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a job-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Technical Proficiency: Significant expertise in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project and MS Planner) and familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Proven track record of leading cloud-related projects.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong financial acumen and experience with portfolio management.
