The primary responsibility of the Banquet Convention Porter is to provide courteous, friendly service to customer or guests during meeting and banquet functions.
- Set tables by arranging place setting in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Pick up litter or trash from public areas.
- Strike or clean a banquet or function room by removing tables, linens, trash, etc.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position.
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must possess the skills to lift, push or pull convention tables, chairs and other convention equipment.
- Must be able to work high volume, high profile events not limited to New Year’s Eve or Super Bowl.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance with good hygiene.
- Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.
- Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
- Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position.
