The primary responsibility of the Cashier / Order Taker is to accurately handle cash register transactions and ensure guests are greeted cheerfully and processed in a timely manner.
- Greet customers in prompt and courteous manner.
- Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris.
- Answer telephones using proper phone etiquette as described in standards
- Count out cash drawer at end of shift.
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance.
- Work requires attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work requires interactions with customers and co-workers.
- Work requires use of a computer and/or cash register.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.
