Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of electric transmission and substation projects within a utility environment. This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle while ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, budget, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project execution for transmission line and substation projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery
- Manage cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, construction, environmental, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial targets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and utility leadership, providing regular updates on project status and performance
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, environmental regulations, and utility-specific requirements (e.g., NERC, local/state permitting)
- Support contract management activities, including vendor coordination, change order review, and issue resolution
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential delays, scope changes, or cost impacts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience within the electric utility industry, with a focus on transmission and/or substation projects
- Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects (engineering, procurement, construction) in a utility or EPC environment
- Strong understanding of transmission systems, substation design/construction, and utility operations
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for complex infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., NERC, FERC, environmental permitting)
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization
