Overview
Our Entertainment Client''s Experiences Design systems team is seeking a product designer to help scale and evolve their design systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance design components, champion adoption, and incorporate accessibility, ensuring scalability across multiple platforms and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with product designers, engineers, content designers, and accessibility specialists to enhance and expand Experiences design systems.
- Solve complex design problems in simple and intuitive ways that scale across multiple products and platforms.
- Own design explorations on assigned tasks, identifying problems, ideating, testing, and integrating solutions that improve the broader user experience.
- Contribute to design systems improvement and growth, working independently or with other designers and teams.
- Build strong relationships with team members, leaders, and cross-functional partners to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Contribute to scaling design systems across web, mobile web, native iOS, and Android apps, and emerging tech platforms.
- May perform user design research.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design system best practices.
- Advocate for design systems best practices, including accessibility, scalability, and performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
- Experience as a multidisciplinary product designer with in-depth knowledge of UX best practices.
- Strong communication skills: ability to articulate questions, strategy, design decisions, and updates to leaders and project team members.
- Proficient in Figma: using, building, or maintaining design systems libraries including UI foundations, components, variants, component properties, and patterns.
- Experience and understanding of developing products that prioritize accessibility.
- Ability to build interactive Figma prototypes.
- Familiar with design systems documentation.
- Strong visual design skills with a solid portfolio.
- Experience in developing visually appealing and high-quality UI.
- Advanced Figma skills, including tokens, variables, plugins, and prototyping.
- Understanding of animation/motion best practices and technologies.
- Solid understanding of front-end development technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience with design systems governance processes that manage updates, enhancements, and version control.
Required Education
- Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent
