Role Title: Data Analyst - Google Advertising
Duration: 3 month contract with extensions
Preferred Location: Remote, ability to work EST hours
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly technical specialist with deep expertise in Google''s advertising ecosystem, including Google Merchant Center and Performance Max. This role is focused on the technical execution, optimization, and analysis of Google''s platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how Google''s tools function behind the scenes, including product feed management, data structuring, and performance analytics. This person will serve as a subject matter expert, advising on best practices and ensuring our use of Google platforms is efficient, accurate, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Google Merchant Center, including product feed setup, structure, and ongoing maintenance
- Ensure product data and images meet Google requirements and are optimized for performance and visibility
- Support and optimize Performance Max and Shopping campaigns from a technical and data perspective
- Troubleshoot feed issues, disapprovals, and account-level errors within Google platforms
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio) to improve data visibility and usability
- Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and user experience
- Advise on best practices for structuring feeds, campaigns, and data within Google''s ecosystem
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data integration and platform alignment
- Stay current on updates to Google''s advertising tools, policies, and technical capabilities
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Google Merchant Center and Google Performance Max
- Strong technical understanding of how Google Ads platforms function (data feeds, product taxonomy, account structure, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving feed and account issues within Google
- Ability to function as a data analyst, including building dashboards and interpreting performance data
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar reporting platforms
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate technical platform data into clear recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in or with nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with Google Ad Grants (if applicable)
- Experience with feed management tools or data integration platforms
- Google Ads or related certifications
