Senior IT Business Systems Analyst –Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Position Summary
The Senior IT Business Systems Analyst will support Identity & Access Management (IAM) by partnering with business, security, and technology stakeholders.
This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements, improving business processes, and supporting the delivery and adoption of IAM and cybersecurity solutions that enhance security, compliance, and operational resilience.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with system testing and operational support, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze business processes, security controls, and system requirements to support the design, implementation, and enhancement of IAM and cybersecurity solutions
· Partner with business owners, cybersecurity teams, and technical delivery teams to gather, document, validate, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements
· Support Ascend IAM initiatives, including access lifecycle management, role-based access, integrations, and control improvements
· Coordinate project and initiative activities across multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and dependencies
· Perform and support integration, user acceptance, and regression testing to ensure solutions meet business and security requirements
· Provide operational support by investigating, triaging, and resolving system and access related issues in partnership with technical teams
· Develop and deliver training materials, demos, and knowledge transfer to support user adoption of new and enhanced IAM capabilities
· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, procedures, workflows, process diagrams, and support guides
· Identify and recommend process, control, and technology improvements based on metrics, audit findings, risk assessments, and resiliency gaps
· Support Agile delivery teams by participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and solution reviews
Required / Desired Skills
· Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
· Proven experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and projects
· Hands-on experience with system testing, including integration and regression testing
· Experience providing customer and operational support, including issue analysis and resolution in production environments
· Ability to develop effective training and enablement materials, including presentations, guides, job aids, and videos
· Experience working in Agile delivery environments
· Familiarity with ITIL processes and work management platforms such as ServiceNow or Change Gear
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio
· Strong PowerPoint presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences
· Experience or exposure to Identity & Access Management concepts (e.g., access provisioning, roles, entitlements, authentication, authorization) is strongly preferred
