insightsoftware is a global provider of reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions. They are seeking a Product Manager to drive the product vision and strategy for Spreadsheet Server, ensuring financial and customer experience goals are met while collaborating with various departments for successful product releases.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the business metrics of the product line (bookings, revenue, gross retention), providing recommendations to improve commercial performance and ensure financial goals are met
- Build business cases that justify engineering investment — cost to build, expected return, time to value — and know when the numbers don't support moving forward
- Extract maximum commercial value from the product line through packaging, pricing, and well-timed feature releases
- Drive highly effective customer experience as measured by NPS, understanding and improving the end-to-end customer journey
- Get close to customers. Run voice-of-customer interviews, win/loss calls, and NPS reviews, and synthesize what you learn into product decisions — not just reports
- Provide ongoing market analysis and action plans by tracking competitive dynamics and market shifts for Spreadsheet Server and the broader Excel-based financial reporting category
- Define and maintain the product roadmap with clear rationale for what's in, what's out, and what comes next — real trade-offs, documented
- Lead the Spreadsheet Server migration and evolution strategy as the product converges with UFE, protecting retention and opening upsell pathways for existing customers
- Once strategic direction is set, hand off execution to the Product Owner and engineering team and stay in an outcome-governance role — ensuring the sprint is producing the right outcomes, not living in the sprint
- Be the internal product evangelist and the person people seek out when they need to understand what Spreadsheet Server does, who it's for, and where it's going
- Drive and support ongoing sales and customer education and communication programs to ensure full understanding of product value and promote value-based selling propositions
- Proactively identify issues before they become crises, work toward solutions, and bring clarity on what's needed to resolve them — without waiting for someone to assign the problem to you
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of experience in B2B software Product Management with direct commercial and strategic responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel up to 25 percent
- Commercial product management experience — Direct ownership of a product's roadmap, commercial performance, and customer outcomes in B2B software. You've managed a mature product with a significant installed base, balancing growth, retention, defect management, and platform evolution simultaneously
- Financial fluency — You think in terms of cost, return, and value. You can read a P&L, model ROI on a feature investment, and walk a finance leader through your logic
- Domain expertise — Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, ERP connectivity, or the Office of the CFO software space. You've lived in this world as a product leader, a practitioner, or both
- Data-informed decision-making — You maintain regular access to the data that drives your product (usage telemetry, support trends, bookings performance, retention signals) and use it to support every recommendation you make
- AI proficiency — You leverage generative AI to accelerate your own delivery and multiply team productivity across documentation, analysis, research, and communication
- Cross-functional leadership — You lead through influence, not authority. Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success follow your lead because your reasoning is clear and your preparation is thorough
- Drive and grit — You operate in a fast-paced environment with focus and determination to achieve high-quality results, measuring success by outcomes delivered, not tickets closed
- Engaging presence — You use interpersonal skills to effectively engage with prospects and customers, getting them excited to speak with you and learn more about their use case
- Direct experience with Spreadsheet Server, Jet Reports, or comparable Excel-based ERP reporting tools
- Familiarity with one or more major ERP platforms: Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, JD Edwards, or NetSuite
- Experience navigating product consolidation, migration, or end-of-life transitions within a multi-product portfolio
- Comfort with data and telemetry platforms — you don't just ask for dashboards, you know what to measure and why
- Certifications in Agile, Pragmatic Marketing, Scrum, or Product Management
