The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in growing the business within the automotive manufacturing industry by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic plans, and building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends
- Analyze competitors and industry developments to inform strategic planning
- Develop comprehensive business plans and strategies to penetrate new markets
- Identify and qualify potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients
- Utilize CRM systems to track and manage leads and opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to expand business opportunities
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing and sales initiatives
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners to maximize mutual benefits
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve business development goals
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Collaborate with product management to ensure alignment of product offerings with market needs
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of solutions
- Prepare detailed reports on business development activities, including lead generation, sales performance, and market analysis
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts
- Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and achievements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
- Understanding and in-depth knowledge of global logistics and production within the pharmaceutical sector
- Proven contact and relationship with major pharmaceutical companies
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
- You will travel up to 60-70%, including globally, passport a must
- An MBA is a plus
- Preferably in the Pharmaceutical sector
