Manager Commodities Marketing & Recycling-West

Republic Services, Inc. is a leader in the environmental services industry, seeking a Manager for Commodities Marketing & Recycling. This role involves overseeing the marketing of commodities, collaborating with sales teams, and enhancing revenue through strategic relationships and market analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors commodities markets to maximize revenue streams from commodity sales
• Works closely with field Sales Representatives through improved training, communication, and cooperative efforts to increase revenue and market share
• Works closely with National Accounts in responding to national bids
• Establishes month-to-month pricing for commodity sales and works with RCs to adjust rebates and cost of goods accordingly
• Works with RC Management and/or the General Manager to establish revenue budgets and volume goals
• Develops and strengthens relationships with mills and other end users of recycled commodities
• Provides guidance and direction to the Senior Diversion Specialist and RC Operations Managers
• Works closely with the Recycling Facility Manager to balance operational efficiencies with sales opportunities
• Conducts plant visits to establish quality standards and identify market opportunities
• Represents the company at local and/or national recycling conferences
• Shares and implements best practices throughout the organization
• Develops and maintains awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
• Waste or transportation industry experience
• Commodity marketing experience
• 4-7 years of related sales, recycling, RC and/or materials marketing experience
