TELUS Digital is seeking a technically fluent Pre-Sales Consultant to join their Physical AI Solutions team. In this role, you will translate complex robotics and autonomous-systems requirements into commercially viable solution proposals while collaborating with various teams to accelerate the development of ADAS systems and data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with prospects to understand their robotics model-training pipelines (VLM pre-training, VLA fine-tuning, RL alignment) and design data collection & labelling solutions that map to each stage
- Lead technical discovery sessions covering sensor modalities (LiDAR, radar, camera, IMU), annotation taxonomies (3D bounding boxes, semantic segmentation, 6-DoF pose), and simulation requirements (Isaac Sim, Real2Sim asset creation)
- Author technical proposals, SOWs, and RFP/RFI responses that articulate data pipelines, quality frameworks, tooling (e.g., proprietary labelling platforms), and delivery timelines
- Work closely with Engineering, Delivery, and Product teams to validate feasibility, refine pricing models, and ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to production
- Stay current on robotics industry trends, foundation models, sim-to-real transfer, egocentric AI, 3D kinematics, reinforcement learning and feed insights back into the go-to-market strategy
- Develop and deliver tailored presentations, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and workshop sessions for technical and executive audiences
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role within data services, AI/ML, or robotics
- Strong understanding of autonomous driving and/or robotics data pipelines: sensor fusion, data collection at scale, annotation workflows, and quality assurance
- Familiarity with machine learning model-training workflows, including data curation, labelling taxonomies, and evaluation metrics
- Experience with at least two of: LiDAR point-cloud processing, camera/image annotation, 3D reconstruction, or simulation environments
- Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear proposals and commercial terms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to both engineers and business teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Direct experience with ADAS or L2–L5 autonomous driving programs at an OEM, Tier-1, or technology partner
- Hands-on exposure to VLMs, VLAs, or sim-to-real transfer techniques
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Omniverse, or equivalent robotics simulation platforms
- Experience scoping egocentric data collection projects (AR/VR headsets, wearable sensors)
- Prior work at a Robotics, ADAS or AI training-data company
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline
