Staff AI/ML Engineer - AI Research

General Motors is redefining mobility through innovative vehicle designs and experiences. The Staff AI/ML Engineer will advance machine learning techniques for autonomous driving, collaborating with engineering teams and contributing to publications in top conferences.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and prototype advanced ML approaches (e.g., foundation models, diffusion, image/video generation, self-supervised learning, IL, RL) to advance the state-of-the-art in autonomous driving
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering groups, helping foster ML innovation across teams
• Represent GM externally through publications, patents, and participation in top conferences
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, technical discussions, and academic literature review to support engineering quality and knowledge sharing
