Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is a leading IT industry company seeking a talented Terraform Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on Azure and Kubernetes, while developing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Responsibilities:
- The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Azure and Kubernetes environments
- You will develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure deployments across our cloud platforms
- A key aspect of this role includes establishing and maintaining comprehensive observability solutions using tools like Datadog, including the automated deployment of monitors, dashboards, and alerting systems through Terraform
- You will work closely with development and security teams to ensure all applications and infrastructure adhere to organizational security standards and compliance requirements
- Additionally, you will actively monitor cloud infrastructure costs, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining system performance and reliability
- Builds and maintains the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes
- Combines software development and IT operations practices which shorten the systems delivery life cycle and provide a continuous delivery platform
- Improve communication and collaboration to enable rapid product development by serving as the liaison between the development and operations teams
- Dev-Ops area complements the efficiencies of Agile software development methods by creating more stable operating environments, and continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable
- Incumbents maintain advanced knowledge of development processes and programming languages
