GE Vernova is a company shaping the future of nuclear energy and is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the structural analysis and design of various structural systems and components within a Nuclear Power Plant, utilizing established engineering theories and methods to support design and development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct system and plant operational functional requirements analysis
- Perform structural analysis and design of different structural systems and components of a nuclear power plant
- Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis tools to develop the structural demands on different structural component
- Perform seismic analysis and evaluation of different structural systems and components in NPPs
- Support developing design and detailed drawings and specifications
- Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents
- Deliver high-quality engineering documentation on time and in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Operate effectively within established technical frameworks, quickly absorb new information, and make timely, sound decisions
- Communicate clearly through strong oral, written, and technical writing skills, with particular attention to detailed requirements, design, and descriptive documents
- Effectively prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines while demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills
- Adapt to changing conditions, competing priorities, and unexpected challenges with flexibility and professionalism

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in engineering
- 1 year of Finite element analysis (FEA) experience
- Master degree in engineering
- ANSYS APDL experience
- understanding of steel concrete
