Doyon Shareholder Employment Opportunities 

Position Summary 

We are proud to offer dedicated employment opportunities for Doyon, Limited Shareholders and Descendants within our concession operations at Denali National Park & Preserve. These positions support guest services, transportation, facilities, retail, and food & beverage operations—all essential roles that help visitors experience the park safely and enjoyably. 

Doyon Shareholders fill a wide range of roles throughout the operation, and multiple vacancies are available. Employees gain valuable seasonal work experience in a unique and culturally significant location while contributing to the success of one of Alaska’s most visited destinations. 

These opportunities are open exclusively to Doyon Shareholders and Descendants, in alignment with our shareholder employment program. 

 

General Responsibilities 

While duties vary by department, all Doyon Shareholder roles share the following values and expectations: 

• Provide friendly, professional service to guests and coworkers. 

• Support daily operations in accordance with company guidelines and National Park Service requirements. 

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and respect for the cultural and environmental significance of Denali. 

• Work collaboratively as part of a diverse, seasonal workforce. 
• Perform duties with reliability, positivity, and a willingness to learn. 

Job Responsibilities

Available Positions for Doyon Shareholders, below are the key roles with multiple openings available: 

1. Food Service Worker 

Summary: 
Supports dining operations such as the Morino Grill or employee dining room. Duties may include preparing food items, operating a cash register, brewing coffee or espresso drinks, scooping ice cream, assembling meals, stocking supplies, and cleaning dining areas. 

Ideal For: 
Shareholders who enjoy fast-paced work, teamwork, and guest-facing service. 

2. Reservations Agent 

Summary: 
Assists visitors with booking campgrounds, bus trips, and other Denali experiences through the SMS reservation system. Provides guests with information about the park, updates bookings, processes transactions, and answers questions. 

Ideal For: 
Shareholders who are detail-oriented, enjoy working on a computer, and excel in guest communication. 

3. Retail Sales Worker 

Summary: 
Works in park retail outlets assisting guests with purchases, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, making espresso-based drinks, scooping ice cream, and keeping the store clean and welcoming. 

Ideal For: 
Shareholders who enjoy customer service, merchandising, and a lively team environment. 

4. Maintenance Worker 

Summary: 
Supports facilities operations by performing basic repairs, preventative maintenance, landscaping tasks, building upkeep, and equipment checks. May assist with seasonal opening or closing of facilities and respond to  building maintenance requests. 

Ideal For: 
Shareholders who enjoy hands-on work and problem-solving. 

5. Custodial Services (Clean Team / Bus Wash) 

Summary: 
Ensures guest and employee areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Tasks may include general cleaning, trash removal, restroom upkeep, restocking supplies, power washing, and bus or vehicle cleaning depending on assignment. 

Ideal For: 
Shareholders who take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces for guests and employees. 

Qualifications

Qualifications for All Positions 

• Must be a Doyon, Limited Shareholder or Descendant. 

• Ability to work in a remote, seasonal environment. 

• Willingness to learn, follow training, and work as part of a team. 

• Ability to perform physical tasks relevant to the position (standing, lifting, cleaning, etc.). 

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
