Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS) is the world’s leading independent captive insurance manager, seeking a Data Science Project Manager to join their Advisors consulting team. The role involves managing complex software development initiatives, ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end project planning, including scope definition, resource planning, and timeline creation
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Work closely with technical teams to understand architecture, system dependencies, and development workflows to ensure realistic planning and risk mitigation
- Track progress across multiple workstreams and maintain clear, transparent communication with stakeholders
- Identify project risks, constraints, and cross-team dependencies; proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans
- Ensure alignment between business goals, technical execution, and product requirements
- Maintain organized and up‑to‑date project documentation, including plans, logs, decisions, and status updates
- Support change management processes, ensuring smooth rollout of new features, enhancements, and system improvements
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, reporting, and team collaboration
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems)
- 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager in software development or technical product environments
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with modern SDLC practices
- Experience working with modern software architectures, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, or similar technical environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Confident working with both technical and nontechnical audiences
- PMP, PMIACP, CSM, or similar certification is a plus (not required)
