Sr. Guidewire BillingCenter Engineer

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Guidewire BillingCenter Developer who specializes in high-volume billing systems. The role involves leading the technical support of BillingCenter functions, managing complex integrations, and driving engineering standards within the Guidewire ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Billing Architectures: Direct the technical support and evolution of multiple BillingCenter functions, ensuring seamless synchronization between policy, claims, and the ledger
• Own Complex Integrations: Solve high-stakes challenges involving payment gateways, banking interfaces, and downstream financial systems
• Drive Engineering Standards: Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor IT project teams to ensure that Gosu development remains maintainable, scalable, and defect-free
• Bridge Business & Tech: Translate intricate billing requirements—from payment plans to delinquency logic—into elegant technical designs
• Innovate the Stack: Research and implement proof-of-concept activities for new technologies and cloud-native practices within the Guidewire ecosystem

Requirements:

• 8+ years of developer experience, with a heavy focus on Java/Spring and SQL
• 5+ years of Guidewire Insurance Suite experience, including at least 3 years of recent, deep-dive BillingCenter development
• Advanced mastery of Gosu, REST Web Services (JSON/XML), and cloud development practices
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical pedigree
• Proven ability to lead projects across technical disciplines with minimal managerial direction, ensuring compliance with SOX and security controls
• Current Guidewire Certified Ace is highly preferred
• Experience in P&C Non-Standard Auto is a significant advantage for navigating our client's specific business logic
