Duolingo is on a mission to provide the best education in the world and make it universally available. They are seeking a Growth Marketing Lead to identify and scale new marketing initiatives that drive user growth for Duolingo Chess, working collaboratively with various teams and translating data into actionable strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prioritize, and drive new Chess growth opportunities in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Launch and analyze experiments across emerging and non-traditional channels to grow Chess users, using results to inform next steps and scaling decisions
- Develop frameworks and processes for channel evaluation and test-and-learn roadmaps for Chess that can scale globally
- Translate Chess performance data and insights into crisp strategies, recommendations, and updates for stakeholders and leadership
- Independently own Chess initiatives from problem framing through execution and measurement to unlock measurable user growth
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a product marketing or growth marketing role at a leading consumer or gaming brand
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable with experimentation, KPI design, and structured problem solving
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable growth
- Experience collaborating with marketing, product, analytics, and international partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a track record of clear, action-oriented updates
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and take end-to-end ownership
- Passion for Duolingo's mission—and for making Chess more accessible, fun, and approachable for learners around the world
- SQL proficiency or analytics capabilities preferred
