Staffing Science is partnering with a fast-growing, developer-first startup to hire their first senior marketing leader. This role involves building and owning the marketing function with a strong focus on Product-Led Growth, content, and digital strategy while managing a small team of creatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute a PLG-driven growth marketing strategy focused on scalable, product-led acquisition
- Build and optimize end-to-end growth funnels (awareness ? activation ? expansion)
- Lead all content strategy and execution, including:
- Newsletters
- Social media
- Product storytelling and educational content
- Develop and scale digital marketing channels (paid, organic, community-driven)
- Elevate the company’s brand presence and reputation within the developer ecosystem
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Growth leadership
- Manage and mentor a small team of creatives (content, video, design)
- Stay hands-on — writing, creating, and shipping content as needed
Requirements:
- 6–10+ years in marketing, with proven success in PLG or growth marketing roles
- Experience in early-stage startups (Series A–C strongly preferred)
- Background marketing to developers or highly technical audiences
- Strong content and storytelling ability — you can create, not just direct
- Experience building growth loops, funnels, and digital acquisition strategies
- Comfortable operating in a high-ownership, ambiguous environment
- Ability to wear multiple hats — strategy, execution, and leadership
- Must have series-backed startup experience and worked for dev ex/dev tool/dev platform related companies
- Bonus: existing social presence or thought leadership in tech/dev communities
