Responsibilities:
- Mentor and lead a collaborative team of software engineers to deliver end-to-end edge solutions that meet LVT’s high standards for reliability
- Lead recruiting efforts to onboard top-tier engineering talent and facilitate continuous coaching and professional development within your team
- Partner with Architects and Principal Engineers to drive the design of a robust edge platform capable of handling growing complexity
- Collaborate closely with Product, Hardware, QA, and InfoSec teams to align engineering roadmaps with business needs
- Oversee and optimize engineering processes to ensure world-class execution and predictable, high-quality delivery cycles
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical strategies, making data-driven decisions to move the platform forward
- Act as a key bridge between technical execution and executive vision, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization
Requirements:
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years successfully managing direct reports in a high-growth environment
- A track record of deploying and optimizing deep learning models on resource-constrained hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, ARM, or RISC-V)
- Highly skilled in GoLang, C++, or similar languages, with experience in frameworks like Yocto and Zephyr
- Specific experience shipping hardware-integrated software projects created jointly with JDM or ODM partners
- Proficient in quantization (INT8/FP16), pruning, and knowledge distillation using frameworks like TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite
- Practical experience deploying and managing software across thousands of remotely distributed IoT devices
- Excel at developing strategic plans that balance technical debt with the need for rapid, market-disrupting innovation
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
