Red Oak Technologies is hiring a Cloud Engineer (Developer Experience) to help scale modern cloud infrastructure and improve developer workflows. This hands-on role focuses on building reliable, reusable, and secure systems across multi-cloud environments, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain standardized Terragrunt structures across accounts, regions, and environments
- Refactor and migrate Terraform stacks and state with minimal downtime and drift
- Develop and scale Ansible automation for system provisioning and application deployment
- Design secure, multi-cloud architectures using RBAC and least-privilege access
- Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm, Kustomize, Tanka, or Jsonnet
- Enhance CI/CD and GitOps workflows (GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, Jenkins)
- Integrate cloud platforms with tools like Slack, Jira, and internal automation systems
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no exceptions)
- Strong experience with Terragrunt + Terraform (structuring, refactoring, state management)
- Proven experience with Ansible at scale for automation and configuration management
- Hands-on experience running Kubernetes workloads (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Strong Linux background (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky, Ubuntu)
- Experience with cloud-init and image automation
