They are seeking skilled Windows Desktop Engineers to provide support and maintenance for end-user systems and applications in a dynamic technical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support desktop systems, applications, and peripheral devices
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and software issues
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and deploy desktop solutions
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of desktop environments
- Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and technical procedures
- Implement and manage desktop security policies and best practices
- Conduct research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and user experience
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior desktop engineers and support staff
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute
- 3 to 10+ years of experience in desktop engineering depending on level
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking principles, and cloud services
- Proven experience with desktop management tools such as SCCM, Jamf, or similar
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Citrix
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
