The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing supply chain performance by analyzing complex supplier data to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data workflows using ETL tools (such as Alteryx or similar platforms)
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or web-based frameworks
- Define and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Deliver reports and presentations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business needs
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to understand requirements
- Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through analytical insights
- Coach and guide team members on using data effectively in their roles
- Deliver training sessions to improve overall data literacy
- Enhance data collection and reporting frameworks to support predictive analytics
- Document methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to building a scalable, data-driven quality management approach
- Lead or support supplier performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor supplier quality trends and identify corrective actions
- Conduct or support supplier assessments and audits
- Drive root cause analysis and ensure sustainable corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers to meet quality expectations
- Collaborate across teams to resolve quality-related challenges
Requirements:
- Practical experience with ETL or data preparation tools (e.g., Alteryx or equivalent)
- Strong capability in data visualisation (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels
- Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics, ideally within manufacturing or aerospace environments
- Familiarity with quality management systems and risk analysis approaches
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex organisations
- Project management knowledge or certification (e.g., PMP)
- Ability to influence without direct authority and lead change initiatives
