About this role
IntePros is an award-winning healthcare company seeking a Systems Engineer to support and evolve enterprise infrastructure across both on-prem and AWS environments. This role focuses on scalability, automation, and reliability while blending DevOps and cloud engineering responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environments (Linux/Windows)
- Create and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, Lambda, APIs, and supporting services
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate deployments
- Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools (Kubernetes/ECS)
- Configure and support web servers (Apache, Nginx) and backend systems
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Analyze trends and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and innovation
- Lead or support change implementation plans and production deployments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (certification a plus)
- Strong Linux system administration experience (Windows a plus)
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) and automation
- CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, CircleCI or similar)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet)
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Experience with Git-based version control (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, SCOM)
- Solid understanding of networking (load balancing, firewalls, certificates)
- Experience supporting databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Agile tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Redmine)
- Collaboration tools (Slack, WebEx Teams)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering/ DevOps
- Ability to analyze system trends and drive performance improvements
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
- Strong documentation and process improvement mindset
- Comfort working in complex, regulated environments
