Senior Software Development Engineer in Test II - Automation - Remote

Akamai Technologies is a leading company that powers and protects life online. They are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test II to develop, execute, and maintain test suites for cloud services and web applications, focusing on FedRAMP standards and collaborating with development and product teams.

Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality test strategies using industry-standard tools and frameworks
• Designing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites for our Zero Trust solution
• Managing test executions, including application functionality, performance and security
• Working closely with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios for automation
• Contributing to the enhancement of the automated testing infrastructure and integrate it into our CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

• 8+ years as Automation Engineer experience and a degree in CS or related field
• Experience writing/maintaining tests using Python and spinning up environments using tools like K8s, Podman, VMware or other cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries for database validation
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and project management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Experience developing/maintaining component and integration tests ensuring the seamless interaction and functionality of individual services within the larger system
• Demonstrate understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
