Location: Remote (Anywhere in USA)
Rate: $65/hr. on C2C and $56/hr. on w2
Experience Required: 10 15+ years

Role Overview

Client is seeking a senior-level Systems Analyst / Cerner Technical Lead with deep expertise in Cerner Millennium, CCL (Cerner Command Language), and healthcare data transformation.

This role will play a critical part in EHR modernization and migration initiatives, ensuring clinical workflows are accurately translated into technical data models, scripts, and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document clinical workflows across healthcare environments (inpatient, outpatient, ancillary)
• Translate business/clinical needs into technical specifications and data solutions
• Develop and optimize Cerner CCL scripts in production environments
• Perform data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium (Oracle DB)
• Support EHR migration, legacy system retirement, and reporting initiatives
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, flat files, and structured data feeds
• Troubleshoot performance issues in CCL, ETL, and integrations
• Act as a bridge between clinical stakeholders and technical teams
• Ensure compliance with HHSC standards and governance

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in healthcare IT / EHR systems
• Strong expertise in:
• Cerner Millennium architecture
• Cerner Command Language (CCL) (MANDATORY)
• Experience with:
• EHR implementations / migrations
• Clinical workflow analysis
• Oracle / SQL databases
• ETL development & data transformation
• Linux environments
• Knowledge of:
• REST / SOA integrations
• Distributed systems & performance tuning
• Programming exposure: Java / Python / C / C++ / Perl
• Cloud exposure: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform / OCI

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior role as Cerner Technical Lead / Consultant
• Hands-on experience in Cerner Millennium environments at scale
• Experience in healthcare data integration & reporting systems
