Microsoft is looking for a Senior Product Manager to be part of the Azure Storage team, which focuses on building cloud native block storage solutions. The role involves conducting research, managing engineering relationships, and driving product development to support customer needs and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on customer and partner scenarios, analyze industry trends, and gather customer requirements to translate them into viable product roadmaps, strategies, and motions
- Manage end-to-end engineering relationships, establish strategic frameworks, technical vision, and feedback loops for driving product development
- Understand the organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), align related projects, and measure the impact on key results
- Support an inclusive team environment by encouraging open communication and collaboration, ensuring all team members contribute effectively to product development and strategy
- Demonstrate customer focus, strong technical problem-solving and end-to-end thinking across product areas
- Identify opportunities and explore innovative solutions to complex problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years contributor to designing, shipping, and operating large-scale, public cloud services OR experience with Block Storage, filesystems, distributed systems, and virtualization technologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
- Proven ability to develop product roadmaps to deliver customer and business value across products and services
- Strong program management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills; Ability to hold technical discussions and go deep in technical areas as needed
- Experience in or knowledge of Block Storage, filesystems, distributed systems, and virtualization technologies
