FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) is building a team to support the U.S. Department of Labor in advancing AI skills development. As the Project Manager, you will drive the day-to-day execution of all project activities, managing deliverables and coordinating across stakeholders to ensure the program remains on schedule and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Run day-to-day operations: staffing, schedules, financials, and deliverable tracking across all task areas
- Build and maintain monthly work plans with task descriptions, due dates, budgets, and responsible parties
- Write, edit, and quality-check reports, publications, fact sheets, and other deliverables before they go to OA
- Prepare and submit status reports — ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual
- Manage data entry into Salesforce, tracking outreach activities, employer engagement, events, and apprentice outcomes
- Coordinate logistics for national convenings, accelerator events, and stakeholder meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison with OA staff, SAAs, intermediaries, and industry partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's + 8 years of relevant experience, or 10+ years without a degree
- Working knowledge of the Registered Apprenticeship system — program standards, work process schedules, RTI outlines, and the registration process
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience producing polished federal deliverables
- Experience managing federal workforce development projects with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems for tracking program data
- Experience planning and executing national-scale meetings and events
- Ability to manage relationships across employers, industry groups, education partners, and government agencies simultaneously
- Prior experience on a DOL OA intermediary contract or ETA-funded initiative is a strong plus
- Familiarity with 508 compliance and the AOR/RAPIDS systems is preferred
